#20Helps from 97th Floor

In the corporate and business world, December can sometimes feel like any other month. But, if you’re lucky enough to get a gift, bonus, or party from your employer, the season can seem just a little brighter. 97th Floor is a company that is taking client, partner, and employee gifts and creating an extra special campaign. On Tuesday, December 3rd - known as "Giving Tuesday" - 97th Floor launched their fifth year of #20Helps, a gift that focuses on the positive power of money.

97th Floor is a Utah-based marketing agency concentrating on SEO, paid media, creative content, and marketing automation. The agency works with large enterprise corporations like The New York Times, and ESPN, but also works with Utah companies like Pluralsight, Qualtrics, and the Utah Jazz. COO Wayne Sleight and CEO Chris Bennet have worked hard to achieve the success that 97th Floor has experienced, and their client portfolio definitely shows it.

In the marketing world, much of the daily grind involves money, and although it’s not necessarily a bad thing, it can become a bit consuming. About five years ago, as the holidays were approaching, the team at 97th Floor thought about what they could do to to put a spin on money, highlighting the positive aspects of it and the good people can do with a little cash. They sent a $20 bill in their holiday card and asked their clients and partners to use the money to create a positive experience. They asked for everyone to share their experiences, and the response was amazing. The campaign wasn’t intended to continue every year, but this year 97th Floor is celebrating their fifth year of #20Helps.

"We’re such a digital world, which is great, but sometimes the human connection is a little bit forgotten - that warmth that comes from human interaction can be lost. Because we’re sending a physical $20 bill, we’re building that human connection with family, friends, or a complete stranger - and that’s a thing we don’t have enough of in this world," said Sleight.

The unique campaign has had an incredible run, and 97th Floor is excited for this holiday season. They’ve developed a bill-tracking app so you can see where your money goes, and they’ve received sponsorships from other companies who want to contribute to the cause.

"We send these holiday cards to our clients and partners, but we want others to know that it doesn’t have to be a $20 bill to make a difference. $1, $5, your time, or whatever you can give," said Sleight. "It’s for everyone, and we want to include anyone that we can. It’s meant to inspire, and we hope to do that again this year."
