Chatbooks Acquires Guesterly
We both believe in these really tangible experiences, whether it’s something that you get before an event that helps create relationships, or something you get afterwards that helps you relive these amazing experiences you had.
There are two stories that you’re already aware of. One is the story of Chatbooks, how Nate and Vanessa Quigley created a successful business in the form of $8 photo books. The other is the story of Guesterly, how Rachel and Lorne Hofstetter created a successful business in the form of personalized, new-age event guides.
Here’s a story that you aren’t aware of: Chatbooks has officially acquired Guesterly, so prepare for a world where sleek photo books and sleek event guides come forth from the same maker.
“We both believe in the same things,” Rachel said. “We both believe in these really tangible experiences, whether it’s something that you get before an event that helps create relationships, or something you get afterwards that helps you relive these amazing experiences you had.”
If you’re worried about either product changing, don’t be — things will carry on as usual, with Guesterly now available as a Chatbooks product. Rachel will come on board as VP of Marketing for both products, with Lorne joining as a technology advisor.
“We had an amazing conversation at StartFEST that kicked off everything,” Rachel said. “It’s just one of those things that makes so much sense. We’re both here in Utah, we bring so many different things from a team perspective as well as a technology and market perspective, yet they join together so perfectly. You couldn’t imagine two companies this well aligned in the same space. From all ends, it just feels like it was meant to be.”
