ClearVoice Raises $1.1M Seed Round Led By Peak Ventures
We’ve been able to accelerate customer growth and acquisition fast enough to actually self fund. So the seed dollars are slated to be an acceleration to our existing business and most of that will go into sales and marketing.
Phoenix-based ClearVoice has raised a $1.1 million seed round led by Peak Ventures with participation from Desert Angels and others.
“We are a profitable company,” said Joe Griffin, co-founder of ClearVoice. “We have a team of six web developers, we built the software in-house. We’ve been able to accelerate customer growth and acquisition fast enough to actually self fund. So the seed dollars are slated to be an acceleration to our existing business and most of that will go into sales and marketing.”
It was everybody’s favorite stern taskmaster, Coach Eric Taylor, who said, “Clear eyes, full hearts, can’t lose.” What does that have to do with today’s funding announcement? Um, I’m not completely sure, I started writing this paragraph with the word “clear” in mind and Coach Taylor’s most important life lesson is the first thing that popped up. So I guess I’ve inadvertently segwayed into talking about ClearVoice through this muddled, aimless, and genuinely confusing paragraph — as my writing shows, there is great need for a platform that allows clear voices to be heard.
For content marketers, clear voices fuel everything. The most successful campaigns are driven by creators who can convey a message in a strong, piercing voice, one that rises above the din of everyday marketing efforts. ClearVoice is the platform that allows these content creators to connect with companies, providing a seamless way for both sides to manage and enhance that relationship.
“It wasn’t until three or four years ago that companies started to get really serious about investing in content, in terms of giving content a more important stake in their own organizations,” said Griffin. “Creating better blogs, investing in social media, thinking about SEO or organic search differently, and so content has become really important for companies.”
First and foremost, ClearVoice is a project management system built specifically for content. If you’re a content manager — anything from digital marketer to social media to SEO — you need a safe place to manage all the content being created for your company. From within ClearVoice’s platform, managers can plan their editorial calendar, create and manage assignments, and interact with the people creating the actual content. All content production happens inside the platform, making it easy to edit, revise, and collaborate with individuals or teams tasked with the creative process.
ClearVoice has also built a freelance marketplace, an offering to companies needing to reach outside their organization for creative power. Freelancers are hand-vetted, graded upon their performance, and offer a wide-range of creative skills that can benefit a company in need. Using this marketplace, creators connect with companies and the clear voices that need to be heard, are now heard.
“It’s really about match-making and assembling teams for people that they can leverage over long periods of time,” said Griffin.
