DevPoint Labs Offering Full-Tuition Women’s Scholarship
We’re doing a full-tuition scholarship, including a three-month paid internship and a six-month Church & State membership.
Getting women involved in tech is a problem. Such a problem that we wrote an article about it. And then another article. What have we found out? There is no immediate answer, but DevPoint Labs has found a place to start.
“Since the founding of DevPoint Labs, we’ve believed in wanting more women in tech and coding,” co-founder Ty Diamse said in a recent interview with Beehive Startups. “At that time, we actually started out with a small discount to encourage more women to take up coding…This second scholarship we wanted to push to a larger scale, wanted to get more women involved, so we’re doing a full-tuition scholarship, including a three-month paid internship and a six-month Church & State membership.”
Applicants are required to do three things: complete an application to either the Full-Time Web Dev or Front End night class, complete a series of short essays about various topics (background, reasons for interest in coding, skill-set, etc.), and express a legitimate desire to learn and succeed. For those interested, apply via this link.
Finalists will be announced at the end of March, so applications must be completed before then. Ladies, good luck.
