Audacious Institute Holding Two Utah-Based Summer Camps For Young Entrepreneurs

Start laying the foundation for a successful future by learning actual skills that will help you in actual life, like how to start a business or how to solve problems in an efficient manner, making your mother love you more than all of your other brothers and sisters.

If you’re a high school-aged lad or lady, here are your summer options.

Option number one: don’t get a job, start learning to play the guitar, and spending the next three months making your mother worry if you will ever amount to anything in life besides the most broke-down version of Bob Dylan ever.

Option number two: mow lawns for the entire summer and spend your nights alone washing stains of green from your hands and feet, making your mother weep for her child’s future as a hard laborer.

Option number three: start laying the foundation for a successful future by learning actual skills that will help you in actual life, like how to start a business or how to solve problems in an efficient manner, making your mother love you more than all of your other brothers and sisters.

I have lived both option one and option two — I recommend neither and my mother will agree if you ask her. This inevitably points us towards option three and baby, you’re in luck.

The Audacious Institute was started to provide high school, junior high, and middle school students with summer avenues for delving into entrepreneurship and innovation. In regards to Utah, this is coming in the form of two week-long summer camps.

In partnership with the Lassonde Institute and Utah’s Youth Education, Innovation Week is being held from July 11–15 at the University of Utah. The camp is designed for high schoolers who want to learn what it means to launch a startup — students will join together in teams, create their own startups, and then be mentored/judged by a group of local entrepreneurs.

The second camp is focused solely on girls between grades 8–10 and will take place from July 18–21 — Audacious Girls Camp: Park City will teach young girls everything an innovator could ask for, arming them with the tools and resources needed to become respectable entrepreneurs.

If you’re a youngster looking for an avenue into the world of innovating and entrepreneurship, this is your path. If you’re a parent looking for an avenue into making your child do something productive in the summer, this is your path.

Both programs are currently open for enrollment. To sign up for Innovation Week, click here. To sign up for Audacious Girls Camp: Park City, click here.
