Pluralsight Acquires Train Simple

By bringing Train Simple under the Pluralsight umbrella, our on-demand learning platform now includes one of the richest libraries of Adobe trainings within our broader collection of more than 5,000 technology courses authored by industry luminaries.

I’ve gone a few months without announcing any Pluralsight acquisition news, which is like watching Lebron James play basketball for 48 minutes and not see him block the living bejusus out of somebody. It ain’t right, especially because it gives me anxiety waiting for the hammer to finally drop.

Thankfully, this dark spell is now at an end — Pluralsight has announced the acquisition of Train Simple and now I can sleep peacefully at night.

“Technology skills can become obsolete in a flash, and for enterprises and creative professionals relying on Adobe’s software to produce great work, there’s an imperative to stay on the cutting edge of their industry,” Aaron Skonnard, CEO of Pluralsight, said in a statement. “By bringing Train Simple under the Pluralsight umbrella, our on-demand learning platform now includes one of the richest libraries of Adobe trainings within our broader collection of more than 5,000 technology courses authored by industry luminaries.”

Train Simple’s courses will expand the constantly growing Pluralsight selection, adding over 150 new offerings to Pluralsight’s Adobe library. Acquiring companies is nothing new for Pluralsight (this is their eighth acquisition in three years) and with the news, I can reset the acquisition alarm to November 2016 when they will presumably announce their next acquisition. Until then, let’s all take a deep breath and relax.
