Utah House of Representatives Passes Zenefits Bill

I applaud the Utah House for acting so quickly and decisively to pass Representative Knotwell’s bill.

If you’ve lost faith in the government, I give you a glimmer of hope: the Utah House of Representatives has passed a bill that would lift the ban of Zenefits in Utah, allowing small businesses to sign up for their free HR platform. Introduced by Representative John Knotwell, HB 141 passed by a vote of 61–4.

Now don’t go jumping the gun, because two things still need to happen. First, the Utah State Senate needs to pass the bill. Second, Governor Gary Herbert must then sign the bill — and he has already publicly stated his support for passing it without delay.

That sound you hear? Just the dying wail of cronyism, which only means one thing: progress is being made.
