We have built the only universal way for everyone to measure all learning and pursue skills and knowledge from all avenues. It’s changing the way companies think about learning and development.
Degreed has closed a $21 million Series B round led by Jump Capital with participation from Signal Peak, Rethink Education, Deborah Quazzo, and other investors.
“We believe there are many pathways to expertise,” David Blake, CEO of Degreed, said in a statement. “The future doesn’t care how you became an expert. We have built the only universal way for everyone to measure all learning and pursue skills and knowledge from all avenues. It’s changing the way companies think about learning and development.”
Your waistline isn’t the only thing expanding in 2016 — today’s funding round follows a $7 million Series A in early 2015 and provides more than enough coin to support Degreed’s quest on how to measure a person’s lifelong learning. They already sport offices in San Francisco and Salt Lake City, they just expanded their client list from three to 100, and now we’ll watch with interest as they continue to venture into the deep end of the edtech pool.
