Imagine Learning Acquires Big Brainz

We’ve always been passionate about language and literacy, and with Big Brainz, we give kids access to math literacy as well.

Provo-based Imagine Learning has acquired Provo-based Big Brainz, a coupling that will benefit children everywhere in the areas of language, literacy, and math for years to come.

“Too many American kids are falling behind in math and reading fluency,” Joe Swenson, CEO of Imagine Learning, said in a statement. “The National Assessment of Educational Progress recently reported that fourth- and eighth-graders’ math assessment scores fell several points in 2015. At Imagine Learning, we want to reverse the trend of low math scores. We’ve always been passionate about language and literacy, and with Big Brainz, we give kids access to math literacy as well.”

Imagine Learning was created as a vessel for children to enhance their literacy and language skills, providing software for elementary students that is fun, engaging, and designed to maximize each student’s learning capabilities. Big Brainz was created with the same idea in mind, but focused specifically on giving students an enjoyable and efficient way to learn mathematics.

Together, unified by the common goal of helping children learn, they will look to expand the vision of creating more opportunities for elementary students throughout the world.

“Now that Big Brainz is a part of Imagine Learning, we know that we have limitless potential to impact students’ knowledge and love of math,” said Ben Harrison, founder of Big Brainz. “We look forward to great new adventures ahead.”
