BLUFFDALE — C7 Data Centers completed its 65,000 foot Granite Point facility, which will serve as both a data center and office complex, according to a statement from the company.
The new data center is built in the Wasatch mountains along Interstate 15 in Bluffdale. The new center is a Tier III facility , meaning it meets certain quality requirements such as access to maintenance and certain equipment specifications. The highest tier is a four.
“Not only does Utah have lower disaster risks compared to the rest of the United States, but C7’s concentrated Utah location results in lower operational costs so we are able to pass those savings on to our clients, especially compared to operations in Arizona, Nevada, and California,” Wes Swenson, chief executive of C7, said in a statement.
