MasteryConnect is establishing itself as a leader in competency-based education solutions and we’re excited to use this funding to further invest in the development of our platform and to continue providing these solutions to educators.
Salt Lake City-based MasteryConnect has obtained $5 million in funding from Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan.
“We’re grateful for the support of prominent innovators like Mark and Priscilla. The impact of teachers personalizing learning for students is immediate and life changing,” MasteryConnect CEO Cory Reid said in a statement. “MasteryConnect is establishing itself as a leader in competency-based education solutions and we’re excited to use this funding to further invest in the development of our platform and to continue providing these solutions to educators.”
On the heels of a recently raised $15.2 million Series B round, MasteryConnect has now received private funding totaling $29 million. With software that allows teachers to easily and effectively track student performance, assess core standards, and report on their progress to parents and administrators, the funding serves as a strong indicator that MasteryConnect is growing very, very comfortable in the edtech space. Need more evidence? I’m sure one of the 1.6 million educators who use MasteryConnect’s platform would be happy to provide it.
