Front 2016, a two-day conference for user experience (UX) designers and product managers, will be held on May 12–13 at The Depot in Salt Lake City. That’s under two weeks, which means I feel comfortable declaring Front 2016 in nearly upon us.
Founded by Andrew Branch, Ben Peck, and Wade Shearer, last year marked the first go-round for Front and they’ll look to build on their momentum in 2016 with a speaker list that includes Cap Watkins (VP of Design, Buzzfeed), Vanessa Kock (Design Manager, Asana), Bob Baxley (Head of Product Design, Pinterest), Sian Townsend (Director of Research, Intercom), Aaron Skonnard (CEO of Pluralsight), Bruce Johnson (COO, Fullstory), and Tracey Varnell (Lead Experience Designer, Adaptive Path at Capital One).
If you haven’t already bought tickets, I have bad news for you: Front is sold out. Maybe you can go chill outside the entrance and hope somebody takes pity on you, sneaks you in, and exposes you to the world of UX and PM. Or you can start planning for Front 2017 and get tickets ahead of time. Worst case scenario, sit at home in your underwear and watch the conference on Periscope like I’ll be doing.
