Disabled American Veterans (DAV), the congressionally chartered voice of America's disabled veterans, announced that Food Network's Chef Robert Irvine to keynote on DAV's first on-the-road DAV Patriot Boot Camp, to be held within Silicon Slopes.
Irvine is a veteran of the UK's Royal Navy, entrepreneur, author, host of Food Network's Restaurant: Impossible, and Founder of the Robert Irvine Foundation, an organization that supports service members, veterans, and their families. Irvine will share lessons from his recent book, Overcoming Impossible: Learn to Lead, Build a Team, and Catapult Your Business to Success. DAV will also welcome dozens of mentors and leading business experts to help the founders who are part of the veteran and military connected community.
The DAV Patriot Boot Camp will provide training, mentorship, and networking for current and future business owners in the military and veteran community. The three-day boot camp will include keynote speakers and panels covering various topics, including common legal startup mistakes, marketing and sales advice, and how to deliver an elevator pitch. Finally, the boot camp will also feature a pitch competition among 10 selected entrepreneurs and a virtual contest for three finalists.
The three-day bootcamp will take place at MX's headquarters (3401 North Thanksgiving Way, Lehi, Utah, 84043) from Thursday, May 18, to Saturday, May 20. The full itinerary can be found below:
- Thursday, May 18, 9 a.m.: First full day of sessions begins
- Thursday, May 18, 3-5 p.m.: Mentoring sessions featuring Chef Robert Irvine
- Friday, May 19, 6–9 p.m.: Team building event at Rhyno’s Axe Throwing and Archery
- Saturday, May 20, 11 a.m.–noon: Pitch competition
