Eight Utah Companies Make Glassdoor's 2022 Top Places to Work List

The results are in, and eight Utah businesses have honored as one of Glassdoor’s 14th Annual Employees’ Choice Awards for 100 Best Places to Work and 50 Best Small and Medium Places to Work 2022.

The Large Companies (honoring employers with 1,000 or more employees) are

24.  Mountain America Credit Union

26.  The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

60.  Qualtrics

98.  Malouf Companies

Small to Medium Companies (honoring employers with fewer than 1,000 employees)

14.  Lucid Software

17.  Awardco

22.  MX

42.  Domo

Unlike other workplace awards, Glassdoor recognizes companies in six distinct award categories that are based on anonymous employee feedback. Employees voluntarily complete an online company review form with questions about their job, work environment, and employers over the past year.

“The world of work is rapidly evolving, fueled by the pandemic and now millions of workers re-evaluating their expectations of employers," said Christian Sutherland-Wong, Glassdoor CEO. "This year’s Best Places to Work winners are leading the way by listening and responding to employee feedback and reimagining the employee experience to truly put their people first.”

When employees submit reviews about their employer on Glassdoor, they share opinions on some of the best reasons to work for their employer (pros), any downsides (cons) and are encouraged to provide advice to management.

Employees are also asked to rate how satisfied they are with their employer, rate their CEO, and rank workplace attributes like career opportunities, compensation and benefits, culture and values, diversity and inclusion, senior management, and work-life balance.

Reviewers also reveal whether they would recommend their employer to a friend and whether they believe their employer’s six-month business outlook is positive, negative or if they have no opinion.

During the year-long eligibility period, between October 20, 2020 and October 18, 2021, employers considered for the large list must have received at least 75 ratings and employers considered for the small and medium list must have received at least 30 ratings.

Among the nearly two million employers reviewed on Glassdoor, the average company rating is 3.7.

Sutherland-Wong added:

“It’s inspiring to see these employers step up during the pandemic to expand and grow company cultures where employees feel supported and valued in and out of work. Congratulations to all of this year’s Employees’ Choice Award winners.”
