Spirit Airlines (NYSE:SAVE) rings in the new year by announcing a new service to Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC).
According to a recent press release, this is the first of several new flight services Spirit will unveil during 2022.
"We listen to our Guests, and they told us they wanted more exciting Western destinations to experience the great outdoors. This spring is a great time to launch service to Salt Lake City, The Crossroads of the West," said John Kirby, Vice President of Network Planning for Spirit.
Utahn’s can begin taking advantage of daily flight schedules out of Salt Lake City (SLC) to Las Vegas (LAS), Los Angeles (LAX), and Orlando (MCO) starting May 26, 2022.

Salt Lake City Department of Airports Executive Director, Bill Wyatt expressed his thoughts in a statement saying;
"We are thrilled to welcome Spirit Airlines to Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC). Spirit has the distinction of being the first new domestic carrier to come aboard since opening The New SLC. The Spirit model will be a popular addition to SLC's portfolio of airlines."
Spirit is one of only three U.S. airlines recognized in 2021 for making FORTUNE’s “World’s Most Admired Companies” list.
