This is a huge day for the state of Utah. I want to thank Nasdaq for their incredible partnership with Silicon Slopes. We are proud to stand here on behalf of our organization and community to celebrate everything the Beehive State has accomplished over the past few years.

Together, we have proven exceptional businesses and entrepreneurs can come out of Utah and thrive amongst world-class companies in much bigger markets. Companies like Qualtrics, Pluralsight, Domo, Vivint, Ancestry, Omniture, Xant, Podium, Divvy, Weave, Lucid, Health Catalyst, BambooHR, MX, Workfront, Instructure, Pattern, Galileo, NiceInContact, and so many others are helping to build Utah into a world-class hub of innovation and entrepreneurship.

Gone are the days where you can only build a successful company in Silicon Valley. With Utah leading the way, communities around the world are proving great ideas and innovation are not exclusive to one place.

We are in the midst of an entrepreneurial revolution with the potential to democratize success for any person. However, the struggle to break into this game is all too real for those who can’t get a ticket. The tech community must continue breaking down all unfair barriers preventing access and instead, extend opportunity to all. We are committed to this effort.

At the end of this month, our community will welcome the world to Utah for the 4th annual Silicon Slopes Tech Summit. We’re excited to host the brightest minds in the world and show what makes Utah such an incredible place to live, work, and play.

Once again, thank you to Nasdaq and we’ll see you all in Salt Lake City on Jan. 30-31st. Thank you.
