Club Med announced earlier this week it is building its first-ever Exclusive Collection (5-Star) resort in the U.S., the company's first new resort in America in over 20 years.
This new Club Med 320-room property is slated to open December 2024 at Snowbasin Resort in Huntsville, Utah.
According to the press announcement,
"... (the new) resort will combine American luxury with Club Med's renowned French savoir faire, along with architecture and design touches that integrate elements from Utah and its treasured history."
Club Med Utah is planned "... with direct ski-in/ski-out access to surrounding slopes" and is "designed to appeal to every type of traveler, including families, couples, and meetings & events groups."
"Accommodations (at Club Med Utah) will include spacious 2-bedroom Deluxe rooms & Family Suites, while private Penthouse Suites will be available for those seeking added luxury."
Snowbasin Resort was the host venue for the 2002 Salt Lake Winter Olympic alpine events, including downhill, combined (downhill and slalom) and super-G with men's and women's downhill courses still in place for guests to experience.
Club Med operates in more than 30 countries and has an international staff of more than 23,000 employees from more than 110 different nationalities.
